Now that a significant portion of the pledged donations have been attained for the $350,000 renovation of the pavilion in North Side’s Wick Park, additional construction elements are taking shape.
In July, roof repairs and a new roof were added to the structure, to minimize further damage.
In August, a Request For Proposals (RFP) related to architectural services and landscape design was released.
Also in August, a 9 hole disc golf course was installed in Wick Park surrounding the pavilion.
The Wick Park Pavilion was constructed in 1957. With 175 events booked throughout the year, it is the most heavily used facility in the Youngstown Parks Department.
The Rotary Club of Youngstown continues to accept donations to fund the renovations. Checks can be mailed to the “Youngstown Rotary Club Foundation”, P.O. Box 1287, Youngstown, 44503
