The Rotary Club of Youngstown has a new website!  Immediate Past President Dave Stillwagon and Aimee Fifarek spoke to everyone present at the MVR and on Zoom for the July 29th meeting about all the work that led up to the transition and gave a tour of our new online home.

Past President Dave recalled that the desire to create a more robust and centralized web presence came during President John Fahnert's term.  An ad hoc Web Transition Committee was formed with Dave, Bill Lawson, George Nelson, Jeff Hermann, and Scott Schulick.  After investigating available options, they determined that ClubRunner, which we already use for our member management and Clatter production, had all the tools we would need to provide the club with a centralized online presence.  They contracted for ClubRunner to guide us through the transition and set a goal for having the new site live by the end of the 2019-2020 year.

Aimee joined the group late in the process and used her technology skills to help the group put the finishing touches on a year's worth of work.  Responsibility for the website now moves to the new Communications Committee, currently headed by Aundrea Cika Heschmeyer.  Aimee will continue as a member of the committee, serving as Web Manager.

Aimee and Dave showed of the new website, loaded with photos, club events, and member information.  They showed off the new member application form, club history, and showed everyone how to logon to their personal area of the site.  President Samantha issued a challenge to get us to 100% club participation: anyone updating their member profile by next week will have the chance to have Past President Dave taken them to lunch.  Aimee is happy to assist anyone if they have trouble logging on.

To take the 100% participation challenge, visit www.youngstownrotary.com, select member logon. If you've never logged on to ClubRunner, contact the office or Steve Poullas.
