IN THE WORKS
George Nelson reports that plans are underway to organize a Rotary Club of Youngstown team for the 2020 edition of StreetScape planting and beautification day in downtown Youngstown, Wick Park, and other locations in the center city. Tentatively mark your calendars for Saturday, May 30, between 9:00 a.m. and Noon. The kickoff will be downtown near Central Square. Breakfast and lunch are provided for volunteers. What a great way to spend a late spring morning if we are able! Check your email and The Clatter for more information in the coming weeks.
We had a good representation at Wick Park during last year's StreetScape planting day, and hopefully we can get a larger group this year. Please contact George at gnelson@business-journal.com if you are interested.
President Dave is considering alternatives for our Club's 2019-2020 District Grant. We received $1,575.00 for landscaping materials to be installed at the recently renovated Wick Park Picnic Pavilion. As it appears that we won't be able to mobilize and complete our project before the deadline, the District has instructed Clubs to develop alternative projects to benefit the community during the Coronavirus crisis that can be easily organized and implemented in the coming weeks.

SHARE YOUR STORIES ON FACEBOOK AND IN THE CLATTER!
As we endure this period of social distancing, we invite Youngstown Rotarians to share stories and photos of what you're doing during this extraordinary time. You can forward your information for publication in The Clatter via email to Bill Lawson at hwlawson@mahoninghistory.org, or Steve Poullas at Steve.Poullas@zekelman.com.
The Membership Committee has posted a set of questions on the club’s Facebook page to communicate your experiences through social media. Copy the questions and have some fun letting your fellow Rotarians learn a little more about you while we can’t meet in person!
