This month Rotary International asks us to Imagine Rotary by supporting the members of our community to become economically self sufficient. Explore the possibilities with us at our meeting Wednesday at noon at Wick Park or virtually via Zoom.
Welcome back, Rotarians! Wednesday will mark one month since our last gathering. It will be great to see everyone at our noon meeting in the Wick Park Pavilion.. The club’s Environmental Committee will give an update on its initiatives and how we all can pitch in. Yes, Wednesday will be a good time to bring any filmy plastic you have collected over the holidays.
Beerfest is fast approaching, and we need YOU to help make it one of the most spirited events of the year! On January 31 we’re looking for volunteers to help keep the good vibes (and great beer) flowing. Whether you’re pouring, checking people in, helping with set-up, or lending an extra hand wherever needed, your support makes all the difference.

Rotary Last Week
Congratulations to Altrusa Youngstown for surpassing 20,000 donated books in December! Members of Altrusa, also a service club, have collaborated with Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries since April 2023 to sort, clean, and provide free access to donated books in the three-county area. Altrusa’s support of literacy dovetails nicely with RCY’s management of 50-plus Little Free Libraries. Altrusa’s book donation program also enables RCY members to share materials with young readers during its Put Kids First events.
October 7, 1925: Youngstown Rotary Society for Crippled Children was Incorporated to direct the new Convalescent Home that the Rotary Club of Youngstown was creating.
